Alexandre Desplat - Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 (2 LPs)

In Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 1 markeerde de Franse componist Alexandre Desplat zijn debuut in de tovenaarswereld, en leverde hij direct een van de meest beklijvende soundtracks van de serie af. Desplat nam het stokje over van Nicholas Hooper en creëerde een donkere, melancholische en orkestrale score die perfect de desolate en wanhopige sfeer van de film weerspiegelt. Weg van de vertrouwde muren van Zweinstein en op de vlucht, staat de muziek volledig in het teken van de isolatie en de innerlijke strijd van de personages. De composities zijn zowel intens en spannend, als emotioneel geladen, en vormen een essentieel onderdeel van het sluitstuk van de Harry Potter-saga.
