Raymond Scott is voor velen de man achter de speelse, hyperkinetische deuntjes uit de klassieke Bugs Bunny-tekenfilms. Maar achter die bekende bandleider schuilde een pionier van de elektronische muziek, een uitvinder die in zijn laboratorium de toekomst vormgaf. Three Willow Park opent de deuren naar deze verborgen wereld uit de periode 1961-1971 en onthult 62 niet eerder uitgebrachte opnames. Veel van de hypnotiserende ritmes en melodieën werden gecreëerd met zijn Electronium, een revolutionaire machine die zelf muziek kon componeren en uitvoeren. Dit album toont Scott als een visionair die al proto-techno en minimalistische ambient maakte, lang voordat artiesten als Kraftwerk en Brian Eno het toneel betraden.

Muzikaal beweegt dit werk zich op het snijvlak van experimentele elektronische muziek, proto-techno en ambient. De ritmische, vaak hypnotiserende composities en minimalistische soundscapes roepen associaties op met het latere werk van pioniers als Kraftwerk, Brian Eno en Philip Glass, die door Scott werden geïnspireerd.
