       Third Man Records is an independent record company founded by the singer Jack White in Detroit, Michigan in 2001. Since 2009 the label in Nashville, Tennessee also has a recording studio, in addition to an office, a record store and a concert hall.

      The label has released work by Jack White's groups The Dead Weather, The Raconteurs and The White Stripes, Dan Sartain, Carl Sagan, Wanda Jackson, Karen Elson and Conan O'Brien. The label releases the music on CD and as downloads, but the emphasis is on the gramophone record. Some releases have also been released in colored plates and limited editions.

      In January 2013, it was announced that the label will partner with Document Records to re-release the complete works of Charley Patton, Blind Willie McTell and the Mississippi Sheiks. give on vinyl. © Wikipedia
