Makaya McCraven – In These Times LP will be announced later this month on June 21st. This beautiful transcending album has been in the making for the best part of a decade; seamlessly stitching together live recordings, jams and recording sessions to create a fully instrumental album. The vibrant Chicago based composer/producer/ drummer’s most compositionally-forward, orchestral, and personal release to date.

Showcasing prominent, expansive string arrangements written by Makaya McCraven, which is a first for him on any recording of his, complex rhythms and time signatures composed & performed by Makaya.

Although the project is an instrumental album it explores themes of social unrest; lending its name of the album from socialist left wing Chicago publication.
