Disco Collected viert de dansmuziek die oorspronkelijk is ontstaan uit r&b, soul en funk uit de late jaren 60 en 70 en uitgroeide tot een machtige subcultuur in discotheken, met Studio 54 in Manhattan, New York, als een van de beroemdste en extravagantste disco's ter wereld.
